A big thank you to one of the most incredible teachers for that persuasive essay lesson plan… I am now a grandmother of one goldfish and three fancy mice.

I have been blessed to work with children and their families for 10+ years in diverse settings – much of that time was dedicated to developmental relationship-based intervention. I have also had the privilege of working alongside extraordinary individuals to coordinate projects and initiatives at the Inter-Agency Council for Child Abuse and Neglect's non-profit division.

My favorite children's picture book growing up was The Magic School Bus at the Waterworks by Joanna Cole and Bruce Degen (circa 1986). Roger Hargreaves' The Little Miss and Mr. Men series comes close.
